Hereinafter referred to as “The Brandpower”, “we”, “us” or “our”.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when visiting and using the websites quizpower.ch and surveypower.ch.
Additional participation terms and privacy notices may apply to the use of QuizPower or SurveyPower demos, as well as to specific quizzes, surveys or prize competitions.
3. Applicable Data Protection Law
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Where the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is additionally applicable in an individual case, we also comply with its requirements.
Personal data is processed only to the extent necessary for the operation and security of our websites, the provision of our services, communication with interested parties and customers, or for other legally permissible purposes.
4. Hosting and Technical Infrastructure
The websites quizpower.ch and surveypower.ch are hosted on a server operated by Contabo GmbH.
The server is located in the data centre in Lauterbourg, France, and therefore within the European Union.
Among other technologies, an Nginx Proxy Manager is used for the technical provision of the websites.
When our websites are accessed, technically necessary server and connection data may be processed. This may include in particular:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- pages or files accessed
- browser and device information
- referrer information
- technical error and connection data
This data is processed in order to provide the websites technically, ensure their stability and security, detect errors and prevent or investigate abusive access.
Where the GDPR applies, this processing is based in particular on our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Technical Development and Operation
For the development, maintenance and technical operation of the websites and the QuizPower and SurveyPower technical platform, we work with the following technical service provider:

Development and technical operation
As part of these activities, the technical service provider may have access to technical systems, servers, log data or other personal data where this is necessary for development, maintenance, troubleshooting, support or secure technical operation.
Any such processing is carried out only to the extent necessary and on behalf of, or in accordance with the instructions of, The Brandpower.
The Brandpower remains responsible for the lawful processing of personal data.
6. Cloudflare
We use services provided by Cloudflare to manage the domain name resolution for quizpower.ch and surveypower.ch.
Cloudflare is used exclusively for DNS.
Website traffic is not routed through the Cloudflare proxy or Cloudflare CDN, but is sent directly to our server.
As part of the technical DNS infrastructure, technically necessary information may be processed by Cloudflare.
7. Website System and Content Management
The websites were individually developed using SvelteKit. A traditional content management system such as WordPress is not used.
We use Keystatic for editorial content management. Website content is stored as files in a GitHub repository.
When normal visitors access quizpower.ch or surveypower.ch, no connection to GitHub is established for the delivery of website content.
Only authorised persons with editorial access can use the protected /keystatic area. Authentication is carried out via GitHub.
During this login process, GitHub may use technically necessary cookies and process data for authentication, session management and security. This applies only to authorised users with editorial access and not to normal website visitors.
8. Cookies, Tracking and localStorage
The publicly accessible areas of quizpower.ch and surveypower.ch do not themselves set cookies.
In particular, we do not use:
- Google Analytics
- Google Tag Manager
- Meta Pixel
- comparable analytics, advertising or tracking services
No personal usage profiles are created for advertising or marketing purposes.
The visitor’s selected light or dark mode is stored locally in the browser using localStorage.
This information is used solely to retain the preferred display setting. It is not used for analytics, advertising or tracking purposes and is not transmitted to third parties for such purposes.
Cookies may only arise in the protected Keystatic/GitHub login area for authorised editors. Normal website visitors do not use this area.
9. Fonts and External Resources
The fonts used on our websites are hosted on our own server.
Therefore, when the website is loaded normally, no connection is established to Google Fonts or a comparable external font provider.
10. Embedded Demo
Interactive QuizPower or SurveyPower demos may be embedded directly into quizpower.ch and surveypower.ch via an iframe.
The demo is loaded from demo.quizpower.ch or demo.surveypower.ch.
When the iframe is loaded, a technical connection to the respective demo is automatically established. In particular, the following data may be processed:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- browser and device information
- technical connection and log data
When using the demo, additional information entered within the demo, such as answers, details, scores or results, may also be processed.
The demo is used to present and test the functions of QuizPower or SurveyPower.
According to the current technical configuration, the demo does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies.
Additional participation terms and privacy notices provided within the demo may apply to the use of the demo.
11. YouTube
Our websites contain links to tutorials and other content on YouTube.
YouTube videos are not embedded into our websites.
Therefore, simply visiting quizpower.ch or surveypower.ch does not establish a connection to YouTube as a result of these links.
Only when a visitor actively clicks on a YouTube link is the YouTube service opened.
The respective external provider is responsible for any subsequent processing of personal data by YouTube.
12. Contact
If you contact us by email or through another contact option provided on our websites, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry and communicate with you.
This may include in particular:
- name
- company or organisation
- email address
- telephone number
- content of the message
Where the GDPR applies, processing is carried out depending on the circumstances in particular for the implementation of pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
13. External Links
Our websites may contain links to third-party websites and services.
Simply displaying an external link does not generally establish a connection to the linked website.
Only when the visitor clicks on such a link is the external website or service opened.
The respective external provider is responsible for data processing on such external websites.

For the operation of our websites and technical infrastructure, we use in particular the following service providers:

Personal data is disclosed to these or other recipients only to the extent necessary for the respective technical or business service, or where another legal basis permits such disclosure.
15. Processing of Data Abroad
Our websites are hosted in France and therefore within the European Union.
In connection with individual technical services, in particular Cloudflare and GitHub, data may also be processed by companies or infrastructure outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area.
Where a country does not provide an adequate level of data protection, suitable safeguards are used where legally required, in particular contractual guarantees or other legally recognised protection mechanisms.
16. Storage Period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective processing purpose or for as long as statutory or contractual retention obligations apply.
Technical server and log data is stored only for as long as necessary for secure operation, error analysis and prevention of misuse.
Personal data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised.
17. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or unauthorised disclosure.
Data transmitted via our websites is generally encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
We also require processors used by us to implement appropriate measures to protect the data processed.
18. Rights of Data Subjects
Within the scope of the applicable data protection law, data subjects may in particular request information about personal data processed about them and request that inaccurate data be corrected or data be deleted.
Where the GDPR applies, the following additional rights may exist subject to the statutory requirements:
- right of access
- right to rectification
- right to erasure
- right to restriction of processing
- right to object
- right to data portability
- right to withdraw consent with effect for the future
Where the GDPR applies, data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

19. Amendments to this Privacy Policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy if our websites, technical systems, service providers or legal requirements change.
